Item 25: (SIDE-BY-SIDE). The music world wouldn’t be what it is without the contributions of Black musicians, but too often the voices of these creators have been stolen, silenced, and appropriated by white dudes. (We’re lookin’ at you, Led Zeppelin and Elvis.) Create a side-by-side music festival poster — one side listing the Black original creators, the other, white artists that build their fame on their work. Post it to social media tagging #GISH and #BlackVoicesMatter with an explanation of who they were and a link to their song. (Looking at you, Hazel Collins) Show us your rockstar pet or child and their contract rider for agreeing to show up to family gatherings. (The child must write it themselves; you can help the pet.
